Rony Gaglianone Calhau, Senior Director, Global Talent Management, Cepheid
Rony is the senior director, global talent management, for Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Cepheid, a Danaher Company and a leader in molecular diagnostics. He operates internationally across Cepheid and is accountable for assisting in the identification of current and future talent needs and trends and in the implementation of Danaher and Life Sciences & Diagnostics Platform solutions. His responsibilities also include employee engagement, learning and leadership development, and diversity & inclusion. In his 25+years of HR experience, Rony has lived and worked in six different countries and held HR leadership positions in the automotive, petrochemicals, semiconductor and life sciences industries. Rony earned a degree in business administration at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and successfully concluded a senior management course at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Tiffany Heiner, Senior Corporate Paralegal, Trimble Inc.
Tiffany has served as a senior corporate paralegal at Trimble Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif., since 2017, where she and her team manage more than 250 global entities in over 45 countries and drive multiple acquisition and tax-driven restructuring and operational expansion projects across Europe, the Americas and MEA. Her expertise has encompassed several multifaceted international roles over the last 20 years, including a stint in Europe assuring project adherence to EU mandates. For the last 12+ years, Tiffany has served as an international corporate paralegal specializing in subsidiary maintenance, corporate governance and global expansion projects for organizations with a large global footprint. She is highly knowledgeable in domestic and international corporate legal compliance. Her broad global legal expertise taps into her proven organizational skills and project management leadership experience.Laty Johnson, DHR, SHRM-CP, Senior Compliance Analyst, Snowflake Inc.
In her role as senior compliance analyst at Snowflake Inc. in San Mateo, Calif., Laty advises employees and all levels of management on human resource compliance matters locally, nationally and globally. She has over 15 years of experience creating, implementing and leading continuous improvement and compliance efforts in public and private agencies. Laty currently serves as a member of the SHRM NorCal Community Volunteer Advisory Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a master’s degree in administrative leadership, three professional HR certifications, and two HR certificates. She resides in Hayward, Calif., and enjoys spending time with her family and two Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Stephanie Kua, CCP, Senior Director, People Operations / Head of People, NIO
Stephanie currently serves as the head of People at NIO, a global organization headquartered in Shanghai. NIO is a pioneer in China’s premium electric vehicle market that designs, jointly manufactures and sells smart and connected premium electric vehicles. With more than 20 years’ experience in human resources, she is responsible for setting up the U.S. operations, including the people operations and facilities, enabling the organization to grow to more than 700 employees during the four years she has worked there. Her responsibilities also include benefits, compensation, leave management, compliance, onboarding, performance management and employee training. She also serves as the company’s Workday Global Implementation Lead (China, E.U., U.S.) and is the U.S. lead for people ops for design, configuration and business processes. Stephanie holds a B.A. in psychology from University of Rochester and a certificate of management studies from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. She is also a founding member of the NIO Women's Committee, which seeks to create bold change by providing a platform for women to develop, advocate, support and lead each other.
Lisa D. Paul, SHRM-SCP, Vice President and Chief People Officer, Natus Medical Inc.
Lisa joined Natus, headquartered in Pleasanton, Calif., in May 2019 as its chief people officer. Her responsibilities include all aspects of people and culture. Lisa previously served as the executive vice president of human resources for San Jose, Calif.-based Oclaro Inc. from November 2014-December 2018. Prior to joining Oclaro, she was the vice president of human resources at Flextronics International where she was responsible for integrated network solutions and also developed and ran the global talent management function. Lisa has over 25 years of experience in HR leadership and consulting experience in technology, service and communication companies including Cisco Systems from 2006 to 2011 and Sun Microsystems from 2001 to 2006. She has served on the board of directors and was president of the Northern California Human Resource Association.
Shirley Reha, Chief Human Resources Officer, II-VI Inc.
II-VI Inc., which refers to groups II and IV of the periodic table of elements, is a leader in engineered materials and optoelectronic devices. II-VI has over 22,000 employees located in 18 countries, with about 75 percent of its employees in Asia. Shirley joined II-VI in September 2019 following the merger of II-VI and Finisar Corp., where she had been the vice president of human resources since 2017. She has served a number of companies in a wide range of human resource management posts, including vice president of HR for Space Systems Loral, Trident Microsystems and Adaptec Inc. Shirley holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and business education from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Southern Illinois University.Jenny Vonderwerth, SHRM-SCP, Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits and Human Resources, McGriff Insurance Services
