Laura Clayman joined the McGriff Insurance Services in 2015. Her immediate goals were to educate employers on the potential penalties associated with the Employer Shared Responsibility Mandate and find solutions to make the required reporting process less burdensome. In addition to the Affordable Care Act, Laura assists clients in answering questions relating to FMLA, ADA, FLSA and ERISA.
Laura has developed and implemented education initiatives for employers through the newsletters, articles, white papers and presentations, as well as promoting internal education for McGriff associates.
Prior to joining McGriff, Laura actively practiced law for seven years before transitioning to consulting. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She continued her studies at LSU and received her Juris Doctorate and bachelor’s degree in Civil Law in 2003. Laura also holds a designation from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) as a Certified Professional (CP), is a certified PPACA professional, and holds a Life/Health/Accident Louisiana Producer’s License.
