Effective July 1, 2020, Senate Bill 83 will extend the maximum duration of Paid Family Leave benefits from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. We wish to partner with the Society for Human Resources Management Northern California to ensure the employer community is aware of the upcoming change to the Paid Family Leave program and which forms will be impacted. Attached is a message that we would appreciate your assistance with disseminating to members as soon as possible.

Jennifer Kohlruss has more than three years of experience working for State Disability Insurance
(SDI) at the Employment Development Department. As a Program Representative, she assisted customers by reviewing claims and determining eligibility in accordance with Disability Insurance laws, policies, and procedures. Currently as an Outreach Analyst, she develops and implements strategies to educate Californians about the SDI program. She regularly provides claimant, employer, and medical provider presentations; responds to media and customer inquiries; and attends outreach events. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in business with a concentration in marketing from California State University, Sacramento.
