Eric Knott owns FinePoint HR, an HR consulting firm based in Phoenix, AZ, is a lecturer at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, is a three-term president and current board member of Phoenix’s HR professional association (SHRM of Greater Phoenix), the vice chair of the Arizona Small Business Association, a director on the Arizona SHRM State Council, and has been involved with other private and government workforce planning committees.
Eric Knott has spent 20 years in various areas of operations management and senior human resources leadership including working as the global VP of HR for K-12 education firm BASIS (the Phoenix-based international firm which runs the world’s top-performing K-12 schools), the senior leader for the HR organization at Goodwill Industries of Central and Northern Arizona (the largest Goodwill in the country), and holding regional HR leadership positions with Cox Communications and Target Corporation. Eric has most recently been awarded the AZ Business Leaders Who’s Who for 2018 and 2019, and the Al O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arizona Society for Human Resource Management.
He is a PHR, a SHRM-CP, has his Certified Labor Relations Leader (CLRL) credentials from Michigan State University, and degrees from Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.
