What is flash mentoring? 
Flash Mentoring @ Sea (think 'speed mentoring') is a unique and well-respected program that accelerates leaders of all generations to "Come Aboard and Get into the Fast Lane of Your Career Navigation and Leadership". You will learn the value proposition of mentoring for your organizations; use your storytelling skills and meet, network, mentor, and be mentored by 4 -5 other SHRM Members in this highly dynamic nautical themed session led by Julie Silard Kantor. 

This interactive session will help you:
1) Reflect on both the impact and the opportunity of having both mentors and sponsors in your life
2) Evaluate best practices and internal strategies to elevate others while expanding your personal leadership capabilities and brand

People need human connection more than ever. “The people who mentor at your company are the people who drive retention and a sense of belonging at your company," says Julie Kantor, a serial entrepreneur and workforce development veteran with a deep passion for standing up sustainable mentoring initiatives for corporations, associations and universities. Whether in a boardroom with executives or working with collaborative teams, Julie instills excitement, inspires commitment and demonstrates an unwavering drive to succeed. She and her growing team have provided dynamic mentoring-in-a-box managed mentoring services to world-class companies in many sectors and organizations like Verizon Wireless, Anthem Insurance, NYU Office of Global Diversity & Inclusion, Costco, Marriott International, SHRM, MITRE, ASAE and more. As a sought-after keynote speaker, trainer and connector, Julie has a robust national network that includes top business, academic, nonprofit and government leaders. She served as executive director of Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for 20 years, led the formation of Million Women Mentors, co-chaired Leadership Greater Washington's Signature Program, and sits on the national board of directors of both Active Minds and Inclusion Allies Coalition. She also co-chairs the Women's Business Collaborative Leadership Council.

She lives in Boca Raton, Fla., with her husband Marc, daughter, and 10-pound Havanese Naomi. She loves strong coffee, karaoke, global travel, and spending time with good friends and extended family.
