Many believe we are facing the constant challenges in the fast-changing new normal and have multiple pandemics to deal with – the pandemic of COVID 19, mental health, and racial justice.
The Stop AAPI Hate National Report published by Stop AAPI in 2020 indicates 1) businesses were the number one site of the hate incidents (38%), followed by public streets (20%) and parks (11%). And 2) race was the primary reason suspected for discrimination. In the wake of the anti- Asian violence since 2020, many business leaders and stakeholders demand actions, pursue avenues to support their Asians/Asian American employees, and look for methods to engage them further in the post-vaccination time that the planning of returning to the office is on the rise.
We will review the trend, data, and practices of driving racial inequity and social injustice out of American workplaces. How HR leaders help their organizations navigate through these challenges effectively will be critical to ensuring sustainability, viability, and creating a competitive advantage. More importantly, getting ready for the demographic shift to the “new majority”. Providing best practices and frameworks for business organizations to combat Anti-Asian Racism and racial discrimination at work, we discuss how to truly facilitate a workplace culture that values the sense of belonging and solidarity.

Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Advocate, Change Enablement Champion, and Business Strategist who works with leading enterprises around the globe to create high-impact and sustainable changes in workplaces and communities. In 2020, Jaclyn founded D-I-C-E Consulting and iHub at D-I-CE to bring her significant experience and leadership to companies looking to foster an inclusive and engaging culture. Her experience includes key leadership roles with AIG, MassMutual, MetLife, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, and Evergreen. She currently co-chairs the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the SHRM0NJ Chapter. Jaclyn earned an MS in Management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and a Senior Professional with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
