Industrial Organizational Psychologists use psychological principles and research tactics to solve workplace and business problems, and improve workers' experiences. I/O psychologists study the working styles of managers and employees, observe and analyze workplace productivity, acclimate themselves with the company environment in question, and collaborate with management teams to devise new company policies, organize training sessions, and come up with a long-term business plan.
In this webcast, you will learn how an I/O psychologist is helping a San Francisco government agency with a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging culture change initiative. The process in creating a three-year culture change plan. The important role of leadership especially executive leadership in insuring success and moving the work forward. The many ways that the organization commits to employee buy-in in order to decrease obstacles in the implementation of the change. Lastly, the importance of using data to help plan, strategize, and provide feedback during the three-year culture change.

Felix Caraballo, PhD., Senior Human Resources Analyst at the Human Services Agency for the City and County of San Francisco
Dr. Felix Caraballo has over 10 years-experience working as an organizational consultant, executive coach, and a human resource professional in healthcare, education, nonprofit and legal organizations. He specializes in leadership development, performance management, organizational development, diversity in organizations, and statistical research.
Felix is fascinated by human behavior and the belief that one person can spark organizational change. He believes that he has the ability to help each member of an organization reach their full potential. His goal is to help transform organizational culture by aligning leadership with the needs of all employees in order to create a high performing organization.
Felix completed his PhD in Organizational Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco where his research focused on organizational cultural differences of China and the United States using the Denison Organizational Culture Model. Felix is a Senior Human Resources Analyst at the Human Services Agency for the City and County of San Francisco.
